Charles Laurie McCawley (b. Aug. 24, 1865, Boston, Massachusetts-d. April 29, 1935), Brigadier General, Quartermaster, U.S. Marine Corps, a college graduate, began his military career as a Captain in the Marines in 1897. He saw action in Cuba, the Philippines, and was later assigned to Marine Corps headquarters including duty with the President from 1902 to 1910.
